CAT`S PAW RUBBER SOLE Reverse Applied Glass Transom Window Shoe Repair Sign

Reverse applied ad on old transom window from a Richmond VA shoe repair shop.

This is an actual glass transom window from an old downtown shoe repair shop. Glass is 1/4 inch thick and 29 1/2 x 13 3/4 inches. Cat`s Paw Rubber Sole ad has a bit of paint loss in spots, but ad was applied to inside of window glass facing out to the street. It has white paint on left and top edge where someone painted around the transom window. Shoe Repair Advertising Has been cleaned off of Front Side to reveal a beautiful Cat`s Paw Rubber Sole Invisible Soling advertisement as it looked in its day. Photos picked so much glare and reflections, that they don`t do it justice.

According to the book Symbols of America, the cat was designed by Lucian Bernhard for the Cat’s Paw Company of Baltimore. Bernhard is a famed German graphic designer. When the trademark was officially registered in 1936.

Here is your chance to own a piece of Cat`s Paw advertising history, a real window from a downtown shoe repair shop with the Cat`s Paw Invisible Soling ad. Authentic Cat`s Paw Rubber Co. advertising like this don`t come around that often. Would make a great gift for the Cat`s Paw lover in your family.

I would be willing to meet the buyer at a reasonable distance from Richmond Virginia, for the price of gas to avoid shipping this item. PLEASE MESSAGE ME REGARDING PICKING THIS ITEM UP BEFORE YOU PURCHASE.
